Year Round
SWASP offers the participants:
- 280 hours of work experience,
- A $50.00 training stipend for each 35 work unit (total
$400)
- A $1400.00 tuition voucher upon completion of the
program;
SWASP Participants are individuals:
- Who are 16 29 years
- Who intend to enroll in post secondary education,
- Who have not established a long term attachment to the
workforce,
- Who agree to complete the required number of work hours,
- Who have very little idea as to their future career path,
- Who demonstrate a financial need
- Who fit the following educational criteria:
- Presently fourth or fifth year high school
students;
- High school graduates;
- High school drop outs;
- Post secondary drop outs;
- Enrolled in Level 3 ABE
Career Exploration Experience: Income
Support (CEEIS) offers participants:
- 525 hours of work experience. (15 weeks)
- $100.00 training stipend for each 35 work unit ($1500.00)
- $200 tuition voucher per week ( $3000.00)
Please note there is an understanding that
no income support will be clawed back while participants are in
the CEEIS program.
The criteria for participants are the same
as Year Round SWASP, the only difference is that participants
in the program would be considered entrenched generational
dependant income support clients 16-29. This would include
income support from HRLE or Youth & Family Services.
